International Affairs AJC works to protect human rights worldwide; to foster democratic pluralism abroad; to support Israel and Jewish interests in the diplomatic arena; to protect the security and dignity of Jewish communities abroad; and to promote better understanding among all peoples. AJC works to enhance understanding of Israel's quest for peace, democratic society, and legitimate security needs by actively engaging the media, government bodies, and other community leaders. Members of the Washington Regional Office are uniquely positioned to make a direct impact on AJC's international agenda. The opportunities range from participating in ambassadorial forums, attending events at embassies, meetings with visiting international dignitaries, and attending AJC's annual diplomatic Seder.
