ACCESS DC: AJC's New Generation Program

AJC's young leadership initiative, ACCESS, aims to inspire and involve people in their 20s and 30s in the work of AJC, spanning the most critical domestic and international issues facing the Jewish community today.  Following AJC's national agenda, DC ACCESS designs and implements programs on diplomatic outreach; international and intergroup relations; public policy and advocacy; and fighting anti-Semitism and bigotry.

DC ACCESS Hosts Cocktails, Sushi and Networking: Annual Meeting 2007

On Friday, May 4, AJC's Washington Chapter hosted a special reception for ACCESS: AJC’s New Generation Program for 20 and 30-somethings at the Capital Hilton. Over 75 young professionals attended the event including ACCESS members and young staff, Hill staffers, young diplomats from embassies, young international business leaders, and representatives from other organizations around DC.  The attendees learned about ACCESS, enjoyed cocktails and sushi, and met and networked with other young professionals.  DC ACCESS focuses its work on diplomatic outreach, intergroup relations, domestic policy and Jewish identity.

ACCESS Hosts 7th Annual Young Diplomats Reception

On Tuesday, June 26, over 100 people gathered for the ACCESS DC: American Jewish Committee's New Generation Program's 7th annual Young Diplomats Reception.  The young diplomats representing over 30 embassies and young Jewish leaders from the Washington area heard from Dr. Dov Zakheim, VP of Booz Allen Hamilton, former Under Secretary of Defense and Chairman of AJC's International Relations Commission; as well as from Dr. Emanuele Ottolenghi, Director of AJC's Transatlantic Institute.  The Young Diplomats program seeks to increase understanding between AJC's young leadership and young diplomats, and to build strong relationships that can last long into the future.
