February 21, 2010, 11:30am: Hindu-Jewish Day: ACCESS DC members and our partners in the Indian American community spent the afternoon learning about the fundamentals of each other's religions and traditions. The day began at Adas Israel Congregation with Rabbi Gil Steinlauf and ended at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple in Lanham, MD with two of the Temple's founders. The program is a part of an ongoing series of events between the Indian American young professionals' community and ACCESS DC. Click here to view pictures of the event. January 28, 2010, 8pm-11pm: Winter Party 2010: ACCESS DC members and guests joined together at Hillyer Art Space in Dupont Circle for this annual event, featuring hors d'ouevres, an open bar, DJ, and and great raffle prizes, including a full ticket to AJC's Annual Meeting. All proceeds went to the AJC Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund. Click here to see pictures. December 14, 2009, 6pm-9pm: Hanukkah Happy Hour on the Hill: ACCESS DC was one of many sponsors of this annual event, bringing together hundreds of Jewish young professionals in celebration of Hanukkah. October 19, 2009, 7pm: Ninth Annual Young Diplomats Reception: 140 guests, including 78 Diplomats representing over 30 countries, gathered for cocktails and conversation at the National Press Club. One of ACCESS DC's Hallmark events, the evening's program featured The Hon. R. James Woolsey, Jr., former CIA Director and leading expert on Energy Security. Click here to view pictures. September 16, 2009: Muslim-Jewish Iftaar: Young professionals from both the Jewish and Muslim communities joined together for a unique Iftaar and discussion. Hosted by Olive Branch DC, made up of members of ACCESS DC and the young Muslim community, the evening featured speakers Rabbi Gary Greenebaum, AJC's U.S. Director for Interreligious Affairs, and Umar Akbar Ahmed, Policy Advisor and Legislative Council for the United States Congress.
