June 22, 2010, 6:30pm: Diplomacy 101: Jewish Advocacy in the Arab World, Featuring AJC's Jason Isaacson: Mr. Jason Isaacson, Director of AJC's Office of Government and International Affairs, joined members of ACCESS DC for a unique session focusing on the key elements needed to prepare for and ultimately succeed in diplomatic engagement. This session had a particular focus on how to advocate for Jewish issues and concerns effectively and appropriately in the Arab world.

June 15, 2010, 6:30pm: The Jewish Agenda in Emerging Powers: China & India, Featuring AJC's Jim Busis: As the first DC event of our Exploring the Global Jewish Outlook campaign, ACCESS DC members joined together for an interactive session that introduced the essentials of what you need to know about India and China, two emerging superpowers frequently at the center of currently policy debates. Mr. Jim Busis, AJC's chief representative to Asia, spoke of the tools required for successful diplomatic engagement.  The event was joined by ACCESS NY via videoconference.

May 27, 2010, 6:30pm: Young Professionals' Fundraiser to Beneift Haiti: ACCESS DC joined together with NetSAP (Network of South Asian Professionals), JAM (Jews and Muslims), and Thursday Network (the DC chapter of the Greater Washington Urban League) to raise money to benefit Petit Goave, a city left severely damaged by the January 12, 2010 earthquake.  The event took place at the Haitian Embassy and we were honored to be joined by Ambassador and Mrs. Raymond Joseph. February 21, 2010, 11:30am: Hindu-Jewish Day: ACCESS DC members and our partners in the Indian American community spent the afternoon learning about the fundamentals of each other's religions and traditions. The day began at Adas Israel Congregation with Rabbi Gil Steinlauf and ended at Sri Siva Vishnu Temple in Lanham, MD with two of the Temple's founders. The program is a part of an ongoing series of events between the Indian American young professionals' community and ACCESS DC. Click here to view pictures of the event.

January 28, 2010, 8pm-11pm: Winter Party 2010: ACCESS DC members and guests joined together at Hillyer Art Space in Dupont Circle for this annual event, featuring hors d'ouevres, an open bar, DJ, and and great raffle prizes, including a full ticket to AJC's Annual Meeting.  All proceeds went to the AJC Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.  Click here to see pictures.

December 14, 2009, 6pm-9pm: Hanukkah Happy Hour on the Hill: ACCESS DC was one of many sponsors of this annual event, bringing together hundreds of Jewish young professionals in celebration of Hanukkah.

October 19, 2009, 7pm: Ninth Annual Young Diplomats Reception: 140 guests, including 78 Diplomats representing over 30 countries, gathered for cocktails and conversation at the National Press Club. One of ACCESS DC's Hallmark events, the evening's program featured The Hon. R. James Woolsey, Jr., former CIA Director and leading expert on Energy Security. Click here to view pictures.

September 16, 2009: Muslim-Jewish Iftaar: Young professionals from both the Jewish and Muslim communities joined together for a unique Iftaar and discussion. Hosted by Olive Branch DC, made up of members of ACCESS DC and the young Muslim community, the evening featured speakers Rabbi Gary Greenebaum, AJC's U.S. Director for Interreligious Affairs, and Umar Akbar Ahmed, Policy Advisor and Legislative Council for the United States Congress.

September 13, 2009, 10:15am: MITZVAHstock: Co-sponsored by ACCESS DC, Jewish young professionals from the Greater Washington Area joined together for a day of service and celebration as part of the President's United We Serve intiative.

March 30, 2009, 6:00 pm: 17th Annual Ambassadors’ Seder – Executive Director David Harris greeted over 40 diplomats, including 16 ambassadors, representing 37 countries, in addition to over 60 AJC Board members and distinguished guests. The Seder featured various texts, customs, songs, and foods representing Jewish communities around the world.

November 12, 2008, 6pm: “Celebrating Ethiopia, Israel and the American Community” The Washington Chapter of AJC, the Embassy of Ethiopia, the Embassy of Israel, the Washington DC JCC, and the US Friends of Tebeka co-sponsored a celebration of the historic and cultural ties between Ethiopia, Israel, and the United States. Over 250 guests were in attendance.

November 7, 2008, 12pm: “Prospects for Peacefully Stopping Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program” discussion featuring Professor Orde Kittrie, a law professor and specialist on nuclear nonproliferation and sanctions issues.

November 6, 2008, 6pm: Seminar on Urban Renewal for young professionals hosted by the Embassy of Israel for ACCESS DC and the Greater Washington Urban League featuring speakers Kurt Schmoke, Dean of Howard University School of Law, and Asaf Vitman, Economic Attache at the Embassy of Israel.
